Concert Ideas

Here are a list of useful links to help you find upcoming concerts for your cello observation papers.  I think all of these concerts are either free, or have discounted student tickets.

Utah Symphony

University of Utah - The Graduate String Quartet performance on 11/27 or The Utah Philharmonia on 11/29 would both be excellent choices!

BYU- The University Strings Concert is on 11/27

Taylorsville SLCC Orchestra- Their Christmas Concert isn't until 12/14, but if you're dying to go to this one, let me know!

Chamber Music Society of Salt Lake- Brentano Quartet on 12/4 is guaranteed to be awesome!

Temple Square Concerts- A lot of these are pianists or choirs, but if you look carefully, you could probably find a performance with some cello players in it.

Matt Zalkind at Utah State- Guys, this cellist is amazing!  We grew up together, and then he went off to Juilliard and became famous and now he's teaching at Utah State University and is giving a concert on 11/26.  This would be an AWESOME choice.

Now Playing Utah- This is a community board of upcoming concerts of all kinds.  Look for ones with Strings or Orchestra or Chamber Music etc.

Remember, this paper is due at the final recital, December 7 at 7:00.  The Music Studio on the south  west corner of 7800 S. 3200 W.
